Bellsburn Motor Services is owned and run by Paul Hutchinson. Paul was educated at Linlithgow Academy. Leaving in 1974 he served a four year motor vehicle apprenticeship with MacAlford in Bathgate with day release at West Lothian College. In 1979 Paul moved to British Telecom where he was later promoted to technician in charge of the motor vehicle section.
Bellsburn Motor Services was born on 1st July 1992 . Initially setup as a mobile service and repair business, it soon became apparent that the workload was too great and the winters too cold for purely mobile sevices, so Paul took premises in Bomains Industrial Estate, Bo'ness. Bomains, with it's second hand ramp and heater served the company well for three years before a move to larger premises was necessary. The new premises on Kinneil Road are where Bellsburn Motor Services continue to operate from.
Paul is willing to speak to groups at their meetings on a range of subjects, including vehicle maintenance and classic cars. The service is completely free, though he does enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit if offered.
Equipment & Staff
Second hand equipment has replaced by more modern equipment and tools over the years enabling the business to become cutting edge, expanding our services and customer base accordingly. Bellsburn Motors now has a new MOT bay equipped with the very latest technology.
Bellsburn Motor Services has two employees Andy and Martyn. Both are mature, highly experienced vehicle technicians,
providing reliable service to the company and it's customers. Andy has been with us four years and is a diagnostics
specialist, Martyn was on placement and has been with us two years In autumn 2010 a new employee, Stewart, joined us after a 13 week placement.
